55 Trophies on PS5 and a 1,000-Point Xbox Slot: Why GTA 6’s Leaked Achievement Count Is Huge News for Solo Players

With the November 19, 2026 global release date just eleven days away, backend servers are starting to reveal the final technical pieces of Rockstar Games' next blockbuster. Renowned Rockstar insider Tez2 (Tex2 on GTAForums) and database tracker PlayStation Game Size have confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch with 55 trophies on PlayStation 5 and 55 achievements on Xbox Series X|S.
Beyond the raw number, the structure of the list marks a major departure for Rockstar Games. For the first time in over a decade, every single launch trophy and achievement will be unlockable entirely in single-player.
54 Sequential Objectives and the Mystery 1,000-Point Slot on Xbox Series X|S
Digging into the backend configuration files, Tez2 uncovered the exact breakdown of the achievement list, which was quickly shared by iGrandTheftAuto and GameRoll. Out of the 55 configured entries, 54 use sequential values numbered from 1 to 54, while the 55th slot is assigned a standalone value of 1000.
On PlayStation 5, where PlayStation Game Size independently verified the matching 55-trophy total on the PlayStation Network backend, that 55th slot represents the coveted Platinum Trophy awarded for unlocking all 54 bronze, silver, and gold objectives. On Microsoft's consoles, however, a dedicated 1,000-point capstone slot has immediately caught the attention of completionists.
As Tez2 noted, that 1000-value entry is either a master "complete all other achievements" milestone or a placeholder for one of Microsoft's new Xbox Mythic Achievements rolled out in late October. Previously spotted only in first-party flagships like Gears of War: E-Day, a Mythic Achievement in GTA 6 would give Xbox Series X|S players a true 1:1 counterpart to Sony's Platinum Trophy on launch day.
A Single-Player Record Compared to GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2
At first glance, 55 total objectives looks fairly close to Rockstar's previous open-world launches. Back in September 2013, GTA V debuted with 50 trophies on PS3 and 49 achievements on Xbox 360 (expanding to 51 on PS4 and Xbox One with First-Person Mode), while Red Dead Redemption 2 launched in October 2018 with 52 trophies on PS4 and 51 achievements on Xbox One.
Yet there is a massive catch: both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 baked 17 multiplayer trophies directly into their base trophy lists. Completionists were forced to grind all the way to Rank 100 in GTA Online or Rank 50 in Red Dead Online just to unlock the base game's Platinum Trophy.
Because the next iteration of GTA Online is scheduled to roll out after launch, all 54 base challenges and the final completionist reward in GTA 6 are strictly single-player. That gives Jason and Lucia's story campaign 22 more solo trophies than GTA V and 20 more than Red Dead Redemption 2, making it the largest single-player checklist Rockstar has ever shipped.

Spoiler-Free Backend Data Ahead of a Massive Leonida Grind
For players worried about story leaks ahead of the 230 GB PS5 installation and November pre-load window, neither Tez2 nor PlayStation Game Size shared any trophy names or text descriptions. Only the numerical backend structure was disclosed, keeping major plot twists involving Lucia and Jason completely intact.
Even without multiplayer hurdles, earning all 55 trophies is shaping up to be a monumental task. With Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson estimating around 80 hours for the main narrative and core side quests alone, tracking down every collectible, wildlife species, and 100% completion milestone across Vice City, Port Gellhorn, and Mount Kalaga will easily stretch into hundreds of hours.

When Rockstar's next online multiplayer mode eventually launches, its trophies and achievements will sit inside a separate DLC folder on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, leaving the base Platinum Trophy and Mythic Achievement permanently protected for solo players.
My Perspective
I still have vivid memories of spending weeks in Red Dead Redemption 2 studying tiny songbirds through binoculars and hunting down exotic orchids in the swamps, only for the Platinum Trophy to stay locked behind 17 mandatory Red Dead Online trophies that I had zero desire to grind. Knowing that Rockstar is finally keeping multiplayer out of the base trophy list so we can unlock all 55 objectives in GTA 6 purely in single-player, without even needing an active PS Plus or Game Pass subscription to finish the 100% checklist, is the best pre-launch news completionists could ask for before November 19.
