Global Release Times: When Does the Update Go Live?
To ensure a seamless launch across regions, CD Projekt Red outlined a split deployment schedule between console platforms and PC.
On PlayStation 5, the update deploys on a staggered rollout at midnight local time across each respective territory. European players can begin downloading and playing right as the clock strikes 12:00 AM on launch night.
Conversely, on PC and Xbox Series X|S, the launch is simultaneous worldwide at 12:00 AM GMT. Players in Central Europe will see the patch unlock at 1:00 AM CET, meaning Xbox and PC enthusiasts should account for that localized timezone difference.
Ray Tracing, 60 FPS Performance, and DualSense Haptics
The 45GB footprint reflects a deep graphical and technical overhaul, headlined by two distinct graphical modes on PS5:
- Performance Mode: Targets a fluid, locked 60 frames per second at dynamic 4K resolution, optimizing responsive sword combat and dodging.
- Ray Tracing Mode: Locks at 30 frames per second to deliver ray-traced global illumination (RTGI) and enhanced ambient occlusion, drastically improving environmental lighting.
On PlayStation 5, tactile immersion is elevated through bespoke DualSense controller support. Adaptive triggers resist and click under heavy sword blows and sign casting, while advanced haptic feedback translates the clashing of silver against steel directly into your palms.
