Widowmaker as Eve, D.Va as Lily, and 5 Skins Revealed: Overwatch Unveils Its Stellar Blade 'EVE Protocol' Crossover for November 3

Fresh off the launch of its latest seasonal update, Blizzard Entertainment is teaming up with South Korean developer Shift Up for a high-profile crossover event officially titled Overwatch x EVE Protocol. Backed by newly revealed promotional key art, the Stellar Blade collaboration is set to go live on November 3, 2026 (or November 4 in Korean Standard Time and European timezones), outfitting five fan-favorite heroes in signature gear from Eve’s squad.
Widowmaker as Eve and Four More Hero Skins: The Full Key Art Lineup
While the initial teaser posted by Blizzard Entertainment and Shift Up only showed the glowing event emblem against a geometric sci-fi backdrop, the updated official artwork reveals the full cinco-hero roster. Taking center stage is Widowmaker dressed as Eve, the 7th Airborne Squad protagonist of Stellar Blade.
Talon’s ruthless sniper wears Eve’s iconic green Planet Diving Suit and long ponytail hairstyle, paired with a custom rifle modeled after Shift Up’s biomechanical aesthetic. Surrounding her in the promotional illustration are four additional Overwatch heroes transformed into key figures from the post-apocalyptic action RPG:
- Widowmaker as Eve: The central figure of the crossover, sporting Eve’s signature green suit, hairstyle, and a matching sci-fi sniper rifle.
- D.Va as Lily (Lily 03 / Lily Artemis II): Korea’s mech pilot channels the 5th Airborne Squad engineer, accompanied by a customized Tokki mech inspired by Xion’s tech.
- Vendetta as Tachy: The melee powerhouse steps into the black-and-gold armor of Eve’s commanding officer and mentor, complete with her tachyon blade styling.
- Soldier: 76 as Adam: Veteran strike commander Jack Morrison takes on the look of the Xion scavenger and drone pilot who guides Eve across a ruined Earth.
- Freja as Raven: The Danish bounty hunter adopts the sleek combat attire of the formidable 2nd Airborne Squad warrior.

Global Release Schedule and Season 5 Momentum
According to the official announcement shared via the @PlayOverwatch X account, the Overwatch x EVE Protocol collaboration launches on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 in Pacific Time (PST), which translates to Wednesday, November 4, 2026 in South Korea (KST) during the standard weekly shop reset window.
The crossover arrives right on the heels of Overwatch Season 5 and the arrival of Talon Support hero Doctrine, which also featured a major anime partnership with Solo Leveling. Following up with a second Korean blockbuster franchise in the same seasonal window underscores how heavily Blizzard is leaning into East Asian pop-culture crossovers to keep player engagement high alongside our breakdown of Doctrine's blood-tech abilities in Overwatch.
Stellar Blade’s First Official Footprint on Xbox Consoles
Beyond the upcoming shop bundles and expected event challenges for free cosmetics such as name cards, sprays, voice lines, and weapon charms, the partnership creates an intriguing industry milestone. Because Overwatch is a first-party Microsoft title playable across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch, EVE Protocol marks the very first time Stellar Blade characters and branding have officially appeared on Xbox hardware.
For Shift Up, the event continues an active streak of high-visibility collaborations following previous crossovers with NieR: Automata and its own hit shooter Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Blizzard is expected to share a full in-engine gameplay trailer and bundle pricing details shortly before the event goes live on November 3.
My Take
As someone who spends plenty of hours grinding competitive Overwatch, I have to admit the hero-to-character pairing in this key art is spot on. Putting Widowmaker in Eve’s green Planet Diving Suit was the obvious headline choice given her silhouette and grappling hook mobility, but casting Vendetta as Tachy and Freja as Raven shows that Blizzard’s concept artists genuinely paid attention to Stellar Blade’s combat archetypes. Now the real test comes down to the in-game 3D modeling, custom weapon sound effects, and how aggressively Blizzard prices the full five-skin mega bundle in the shop next week.
