Nintendo Switch 2 eShop Charts: Zelda Ocarina of Time Holds #1 as Square Enix's $7.49 Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Sale Surges

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time holds onto the #1 spot on the Nintendo eShop best-sellers chart for the Nintendo Switch 2 as of Saturday, November 7, 2026. While Nintendo Switch Sports Resort and a surging Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 round out the podium, the biggest shake-up comes from Square Enix's massive publisher sale propelling Final Fantasy VII Rebirth straight into fourth place.
The Weekly Podium: Link Stands Firm as Modern Warfare 4 Jumps Five Spots
After claiming the crown on pre-orders alone last week, the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake built on Nintendo's ModuleSystem engine easily defended its lead during launch week. Link's return is also lifting the rest of the franchise, with Tears of the Kingdom (#24), Breath of the Wild (#28), and its standalone Upgrade Pack (#29) all charting inside the Top 30.
Right behind it, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort remains locked in at #2, fending off Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 - Standard Edition. Activision's shooter climbed five positions from #8 to #3 following the launch of Season 1.
The Square Enix Sale Effect: 7 Entries in the Top 21 Led by Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
The defining story of the November 7 chart is the aftermath of Square Enix's up to 85% off Nintendo Switch 2 eShop sale that ran through November 5. Slashed to an eye-popping $7.49 promo rate on the North American storefront, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth rocketed straight to #4 in its Standard Edition and #9 in its Digital Deluxe Edition.

That promotional momentum carried across the Japanese publisher's entire RPG lineup, giving Square Enix seven spots inside the top twenty-one best-sellers. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade landed at #8 and #15, while Final Fantasy Resonance (#13), Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] (#18), and Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition (#21) rounded out the sweep.

Godzilla Cracks the Top 5 While Pikmin 4 and Stellar Blade Climb
Among early November releases, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered scored a double debut in its launch week, taking #5 with its Digital Deluxe Edition and #19 with its Standard Edition. Meanwhile, Pikmin 4 (bundled with the Dandori Academy Upgrade) vaulted straight to #7 following its free Switch 2 demo and Version 2.0.0 update ahead of the November 12 Switch 2 Edition launch.
Fresh off its November 5 arrival on Nintendo's hybrid console, Stellar Blade Complete Edition gained three spots to reach #12 on the digital storefront despite heavy physical demand for its full 32 GB cartridge. Further down the chart, Shrek 2 Remastered made a surprise debut at #16 just ahead of Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition (#17), while Atlus's Metaphor ReFantazio re-entered the chart twice at #22 and #27.

My Perspective
I am thrilled that Switch 2 owners jumped all over Final Fantasy VII Rebirth when it dropped to the price of a fast-food combo: putting four separate FF7 editions inside a Nintendo Top 15 proves how fast players show up when third-party publishers price their digital back-catalogs aggressively. And I have to admit it put a huge smile on my face to see Shrek 2 Remastered and Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee crashing the party right alongside modern blockbusters like it is 2004 on the GameCube all over again, right before Pikmin 4's Switch 2 Edition shakes up the podium next week.
