One Piece's Going Merry, 80-Player Crossbones Isle, and November 1 Launch Times: Fortnite Drops Treasure Hunters Gameplay Trailer

Monkey D. Luffy, A Rocky, and Jonesy in the Fortnite Treasure Hunters pirate mini-season

Epic Games officially released the gameplay trailer for Fortnite Treasure Hunters on Friday, October 30, 2026. Running from Sunday, November 1 through December 5, 2026, this pirate-themed mini-season bridges the end of Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 by bringing together the One Piece Straw Hat Crew, rapper A$AP Rocky, and a brand-new island built for 80 players.

Following the Halloween festivities of Fortnitemares 2026 and recent free creative experiences like PowerWash SPLASHOUT, Epic's Battle Royale is trading haunted houses for the high seas. Even the classic Battle Bus is taking a month off: players will drop onto the island straight from the deck of Monkey D. Luffy's iconic sheep-prowed ship, the Going Merry.

Crossbones Isle: A New 80-Player Pirate Map Shaped by One Piece

The gameplay trailer introduces Crossbones Isle, a skull-and-crossbones-shaped island tailored for faster-paced 80-player matches. Several named points of interest are pulled directly from Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga and anime:

  • Windmill Village (Foosha Village): Luffy's hometown port complete with its signature windmills.
  • Arlong Park: The towering aquatic stronghold of the Arlong Pirates.
  • Baratie and the Marigold: The famous ocean-going restaurant anchored off the coast alongside pirate port towns.
  • The $.$. Rocky: A heavily armed custom battleship anchored on the far east side of the island, controlled by boss A$AP Rocky and housing his locked vault.

To cross open water quickly between islands, players can hop into pirate cannons and launch themselves across the sky. Exploration also revolves around digging up buried pirate chests, catching returning Sprites dressed up after the season's captains, and unlocking a chained Mega Chest tied to the mysterious Captain X.

Devil Fruits, Zoro's Three Sword Style, and Weekly Captain Takeovers

On the combat side, the One Piece crossover introduces four Mythic weapons and abilities built to shake up close- and mid-range fights:

  • Monkey D. Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit: Stretches your arms to deliver high-knockback elastic strikes.
  • Portgas D. Ace's Flame-Flame Fruit: Unleashes area-of-effect fire blasts.
  • Roronoa Zoro's Three Sword Style: A melee weapon designed to shred builds and chain offensive dashes.
  • Usopp's Slingshot: A precision long-range projectile tool.

Meanwhile, squads that storm The $.$. Rocky and defeat A$AP Rocky can claim his Mythic Shock Rocket launcher and vault keycard. The standard loot pool also brings back two black-powder classics from Save the World: the burst-fire Bundlebuss rifle and the heavy Dragoon shotgun.

Epic Games also confirmed a weekly map rotation system called Captain's Days. Throughout November, new musical captains will take over strongholds across Crossbones Isle, with scheduled arrivals from Lil Uzi Vert, Cap'n Hatsune Miku, and Kasane Teto.

My Take

Trimming lobbies down to 80 players on a compact island built around pirate cannons and naval strongholds is a smart way to keep this one-month transition moving fast ahead of Chapter 8. Plenty of crossovers stop at selling shop bundles, so seeing Arlong Park, the Baratie, and the Going Merry actually replace the Battle Bus gives the map real personality. The real test on Sunday afternoon will be surviving endgame circles when squads are stacking Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit, Zoro's blades, and A$AP Rocky's Shock Rocket at the same time.
