Dirt Bombs, Mega Gnome, and Island Code: FuturLab Launches PowerWash SPLASHOUT Free in Fortnite

Brighton-based developer FuturLab, the studio behind the wonderfully relaxing hit PowerWash Simulator, has officially launched a brand-new standalone experience inside Fortnite. Titled PowerWash SPLASHOUT, this independently created custom island trades quiet solo serenity for fast-paced multiplayer competition, and it is available to play for free right now across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and mobile devices.
Island Code 7630-0397-6508: How to Play PowerWash SPLASHOUT in Fortnite
Rather than arriving as a simple cosmetic bundle in the Item Shop, PowerWash SPLASHOUT is a full playable mode built directly by FuturLab within the Fortnite ecosystem. Players can jump in without spending a single V-Buck by opening the Discover menu or search bar in the lobby and entering the official code below:
- Experience Name: PowerWash SPLASHOUT
- Creator Studio: FuturLab
- Fortnite Island Code: 7630-0397-6508
- Player Count: 1 to 8 players (solo, co-op with friends, or team-based competition)
- Launch Content: 5 timed PowerWash levels, washer upgrades, Hidden Gnomes, Mega Gnome progression, and Rebirth mechanics
The mode offers a refreshing palate cleanser between Battle Royale matches as players count down the days to the next major chapter transition covered in our Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 5 release date and server downtime guide.
From Zen Cleaning to Multiplayer Sabotage: Dirt Bombs and Dirt Rain
While the mainline PowerWash Simulator series is famous for its meditative pace and the unmistakable chime that rewards a spotless surface, PowerWash SPLASHOUT injects high-energy party chaos into the formula. Across five dedicated levels packed with mud-caked vehicles and grimy buildings, your cleaning crew races against the clock to turn filthy environments into sparkling finishes and climb the leaderboard.
The biggest twist comes into play when queuing up with up to eight players. Alongside helping teammates through building mechanics and team buffs, competitors can actively sabotage rival squads by triggering dirt rain or hurling dirt bombs right onto surfaces their opponents just finished scrubbing. It is another clever expansion of Epic's platform playground, arriving just days after The Living Tombstone's Five Nights at Freddy's anthem joined Fortnite Festival.
PowerWash Points, Mega Gnome, and Rebirth Progression
To keep players coming back after their first wash, FuturLab built a full progression loop around stacks of cash, XP, and PowerWash Points. Every bit of muck blasted away funds direct upgrades to your pressure washer's stats, letting you strip grime much faster in subsequent rounds as you chase the fastest wash time.
Longtime fans of the franchise will also spot the studio's signature garden gnomes tucked away across the map. Tracking down Hidden Gnomes and leveling up your gnome squad unlocks the ability to scrub down your own towering Mega Gnome. Once you max out your cleaning efficiency, a Rebirth system lets you reset your progress in exchange for permanent progression boosts, giving both solo completionists and competitive squads plenty of reasons to keep the water running.
My Take
Turning a cozy, meditative cleaning game into a frantic turf war complete with mud sabotage sounds wild on paper, yet it fits the Fortnite sandbox naturally. By building an entire custom island in-house rather than settling for a passive cosmetic crossover, FuturLab gives millions of players a free, chaotic taste of why pressure-washing digital grime remains one of gaming's most satisfying loops.
