LEC 2027 Roster Locked: Team Heretics Extends Top Laner Tracyn Through 2028 in League of Legends

Sebastian Tracyn Wojton Team Heretics LEC top laner contract extension until 2028 League of Legends

The final piece of Madrid's offseason rebuild is officially locked in ahead of the upcoming European League of Legends campaign. As the Spanish organization finalized its starting lineup for the 2027 LEC season, Team Heretics chose to double down on Polish top laner Sebastian "Tracyn" Wojtoń. Originally contracted through November 15, 2027 in the Riot Games Global Contract Database, the 21-year-old has agreed to a one-year contract extension that keeps him with the club through the end of the 2028 season.

From Los Heretics to the LEC Stage: Backing a Rookie Year Built Under Fire

Signed by the Los Heretics academy squad in early 2025 after standout stints in the Prime League with GamerLegion and Austrian Force, Tracyn quickly established himself as one of the sharpest top lane prospects in the European regional circuit. After winning the Superliga Winter 2025 title and reaching the EMEA Masters Summer 2025 grand final, the Polish player born in September 2005 earned a promotion to the main LEC roster for the 2026 season, stepping in for Danish top laner Carl "Carlsen" Ulsted Carlsen.

Promoted from Los Heretics ahead of the 2026 campaign, Sebastian "Tracyn" Wojtoń retains his starting LEC top lane spot and extends his contract through 2028.

His rookie campaign in Europe's top flight proved to be a trial by fire inside a turbulent lineup. Following a promising fourth-place regular season finish during the opening LEC Versus split at 6 wins and 5 losses to reach the playoff bracket, Team Heretics collapsed across the next two splits. Finishing tenth in the Spring Split with a 1-8 series record (3-17 in individual games) and ninth in the Summer Split, the Spanish side cycled through multiple roster combinations around Tracyn and Turkish mid laner Tolga "Serin" Ölmez, rotating between Théo "Sheo" Borile and Kacper "Daglas" Dagiel in the jungle alongside several bot lane pairings.

Despite missing the Summer playoffs and watching the 2026 League of Legends World Championship from home, Team Heretics' management saw enough individual laning resilience from their young top laner to commit to him through 2028. In a role where wave manipulation, teleport windows, and micro-spacing in isolated one-on-one trades are decided by fractions of a second, reliable pro-grade gear remains essential on the Berlin stage.

Razork, Jackies, Hype, and Jun: Team Heretics Completes Its 2027 Starting Five

By extending Tracyn until 2028, Team Heretics completes a heavily upgraded five-man roster led by Norwegian head coach Erlend "Nukeduck" Våtevik Holm. Determined to fix the mid-game shotcalling issues that plagued the team in 2026, the organization overhauled its central trio by signing veteran Spanish jungler Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz as a free agent after his five-year tenure with Fnatic.

Razork will operate alongside Czech mid laner Adam "Jackies" Jeřábek and South Korean support Yoon "Jun" Se-jun, both acquired from domestic rival GIANTX. That double move reunites Razork and Jun after their aggressive jungle-support partnership carried Fnatic to the LEC finals in 2024, with Jun securing a one-year deferral of his mandatory South Korean military service to continue competing in Europe in 2027.

In the bot lane, Jun will partner with fellow South Korean carry Byeon "Hype" Jeong-hyeon. Already under contract with Team Heretics through 2028, the ADC agreed to a pay cut during the offseason to retain his starting role on the revamped roster. With both Tracyn and Hype now locked in until 2028 on the side lanes, the Spanish organization secures its two young mechanical carries long-term while surrounding them with proven map leaders.

My Take

Extending Tracyn through 2028 instead of overpaying for a recycling bin veteran is the smartest move Team Heretics could have made this offseason. Judging a 21-year-old rookie top laner on the collective collapse of Spring and Summer 2026 would have been a massive misread: when your roster swaps junglers and bot lanes mid-year, top lane immediately turns into an abandoned island with zero map tempo. Now that he is backed by a Razork, Jackies, and Jun core capable of forcing early pressure across the river, Tracyn finally has the structural stability he needs to show what he can really do in the LEC.
