Mitya, Valeriy, and Version 7.2 Banner Schedule
On the combat front, Version 7.2 reshapes Electro team building by introducing a brand-new elemental reaction upgrade: Stellar-Conduct.
- Mitya (5-Star Electro Catalyst): Known as an optimistic scientist bold enough to defy the Heavenly Principles, Mitya automatically converts the party's Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct reactions while boosting the entire squad's Stellar-Conduct damage and building up special energy. Tapping his Elemental Skill releases this stored energy to deal periodic off-field Stellar-Conduct damage to nearby foes, whereas holding the Skill consumes the energy to unleash a rapid barrage of enhanced Charged Attacks on-field. His Elemental Burst inflicts AoE Electro damage and generates additional special energy to keep his rotations flowing. While exploring specific areas of Snezhnaya, Mitya's detection device also reveals hidden paths and unlocks a special reward that alters his appearance.
- Valeriy (4-Star Electro Sword): A disciplined Major of the Armory Palace, Valeriy provides protective shields and amplifies Electro damage, with specialized buffs tailored for Stellar-Conduct team compositions.
The Version 7.2 Event Wish schedule is split across two phases:
- Phase 1: Debut of Mitya and Valeriy, alongside a rerun banner for Furina.
- Phase 2: Rerun banners for Zibai and Linnea, accompanied by a new Chronicled Wish featuring select characters from Natlan.

Snezhnaya Archon Summit and Novokitezhgrad Exploration
In the new Version 7.2 Archon Quest, Teyvat faces a continental emergency as violent energy fluctuations awaken the Nails of Retribution. Mysterious pillars of light erupt across every region, triggering the Holy Soil phenomenon and plunging all seven nations into crisis. In response, the Tsaritsa convenes a historic summit in Snezhnaya, calling upon representatives from all seven nations to coordinate containment efforts. Players will fight alongside the Archons, Neuvillette, and allies from across Teyvat. Completing the Archon Quest within the limited-time window rewards 560 bonus Primogems and Character Ascension Materials for Mitya, while completing the latest Secret Tsarist Assignments unlocks additional prizes, including a Snezhnaya-themed Wind Glider.

Version 7.2 also opens a brand-new region in eastern Snezhnaya. Travelers can board the railway to Novokitezhgrad, an underground metropolis encased in and powered by Kresnik Kristall. Pushing further east through the blizzard leads to Wingspan Peak and the ruins of Old Kitezhgrad, Snezhnaya's very first city founded by the Belyi Tsar. To neutralize contaminated Kresnik Kristall deposits caused by the Holy Soil phenomenon unleashed by Ronova, players will deploy new Prime Ice Constructs and wield two elemental shotguns. New Meeting Point quests will also follow Danica on a covert cleanup operation for the Tsaritsa in Novokitezhgrad and Mitya as he investigates soil anomalies near Teplo Oasis, while a colossal deep-sea boss awaits challengers in Novokitezhgrad.
Free 4-Star Character Selector and November Events
The flagship limited-time event of Version 7.2, accessible immediately via Quick Start, unites allies from Mondstadt to Snezhnaya in a coordinated defense against the Holy Soil crisis, tasking players with rescuing wounded soldiers, relaying battlefield intel, and completing urgent containment missions. Clearing these objectives rewards Primogems, upgrade materials, and the opportunity to invite a free 4-star character of your choice to your roster. Arriving right at the start of the November 2026 game release calendar, the update also features a filming event in Snezhnaya, a mining challenge in Natlan, and a Miliastra Wonderland expansion introducing a masquerade-themed lobby, a free 4-star cosmetic outfit, and expanded stage-editing tools. Coming shortly after the Genshin Impact developer's landmark legal victory against unauthorized AI voice cloning, Version 7.2 sets up one of the most ambitious chapters in Teyvat's history.
My Take
By turning Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct through Mitya's versatile dual-stance kit and Valeriy's defensive buffs, HoYoverse is finally breathing new life into one of Genshin Impact's most neglected elemental reactions. Even more impressive is the sheer narrative scale in Snezhnaya: seeing the Tsaritsa bring the Archons and representatives from all seven nations under one roof to confront Ronova and the Nails of Retribution gives Version 7.2 the weight of a true endgame climax.
