Up to 6,000 XP Per Vein in Enshrouded 1.0: The Guide to the Two Best Mining Spots to Hit Level 50

Enshrouded glider exploration

Following the official Enshrouded 1.0 launch on PC and PS5 on October 15, 2026, German developer Keen Games raised the character progression cap from level 45 to level 50. With existing saves undergoing a full skill tree reset and the endgame region of Cinder's Cradle demanding peak builds, targeting two specific mineral-rich mines delivers a far faster experience injection than wandering the open world.

While chopping down Shroud Roots and clearing Elixir Wells remain essential for unlocking one-time bonus skill points, raw character leveling relies heavily on a mechanic many players overlook: every pickaxe swing that harvests ore grants instant, flat experience points.

Why Combining Mining and Combat Is the Fastest Way to Level Up

Across the voxel realm of Embervale, combat and mineral extraction stand out as the two highest-yielding activities for rapid XP gains. Whereas combat experience scales according to the level gap between you and your targets, mining dense ore veins rewards every single unit gathered while simultaneously stockpiling critical smelting materials.

Solo players or groups looking to speed up their power-leveling loop can also tweak their world parameters before loading a save. By clicking the Edit button on the world selection screen and choosing the Custom difficulty option, four sliders can drastically amplify your progression rate:

  • Mining XP: directly boosts the experience payout granted for every unit of ore harvested.
  • Combat XP: increases the experience earned from defeating Scavengers, Vukah, and Shroud creatures.
  • Enemy Amount: increases mob density inside camps and mines for higher per-run combat returns.
  • Quest & Exploration XP: accelerates milestone rewards when uncovering Ancient Spires and lore locations.

Even if you leave these optional sliders untouched and play on the default survival settings designed by Keen Games on the official Enshrouded portal, two repeatable locations provide a massive XP boost from early to late game.

Mark of Sameth in Revelwood: The Best Early and Mid-Game Copper XP Loop

Your first major power-leveling stop is Mark of Sameth, located in the northwestern corner of the Revelwood biome. You can reach this quarry early on by fast-traveling to the Revelwood Ancient Spire, gliding west past Diadwyn, and following the northwestern trail where the Blacksmith's quest sends you to recover the Crucible.

Mark of Sameth is a sprawling copper mine guarded by a dense garrison of Scavengers, allowing you to stack combat and mining XP in a single sweep. Clear out all the enemies patrolling the camp and tunnels first, then equip a high-durability pickaxe to strip every Copper Ore vein along the rock walls.

A single full clear nets thousands of XP alongside stacks of copper ore for mid-tier crafting. To make the loop repeatable, place a Flame Altar right outside the mine's entrance for instant fast travel, making sure its golden build boundary stays well clear of the ore veins so it does not prevent them from respawning.

Kindlewastes Giant Iron Ore Cave: 3,000 to 6,000 XP Per Run Without Deadly Shroud

Once your adventures carry you into the desert region of the Kindlewastes, an underground passage northwest of the Kindlewastes Ancient Spire becomes the premier XP injection spot in the game. Fast-travel to the top of the Kindlewastes Ancient Spire, face northwest, and leap off to glide straight across the chasm.

While airborne over the canyon, angle slightly to the left and look for a dirt road leading directly into a cliffside mineshaft. Waiting right in front of the tunnel entrance is an enormous, densely packed Iron Ore vein.

Mining out this single giant iron node yields between 3,000 and 6,000 XP in one go depending on your world multipliers, while filling your backpack with end-game iron ore. Better yet, this cave passage sits completely outside the Deadly Shroud.

Because there is no Shroud corruption inside the entrance, you can farm this giant vein safely even if you have not upgraded your Flame Level enough times to survive deep desert fog, giving solo builders the kind of flexible progression also praised in upcoming titles like the modular action RPG Second Stone on Steam.

How to Force Ore Veins to Respawn Using the 500-Meter Reset Trick

You do not have to wait hours for world timers to replenish either of these mines in the full 1.0 build of Enshrouded on Steam or console. After mining every chunk of Iron Ore in the Kindlewastes cave or Copper Ore at Mark of Sameth, open your map and teleport at least 500 meters away to a distant spire or your main base.

Exit to the main menu, reload your world, and teleport back to the Flame Altar stationed outside the mine entrance. The entire giant Iron Ore vein will be fully restored right where you left it, letting you chain stamina-buffed mining runs until your character hits level 50.
