Razer Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition: Magnesium Shell, 2,000 Hz TMR Sticks, and 1,337 Units at $349.99

Razer Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition wireless PS5 and PC controller with magnesium alloy exoskeleton

Ten years after introducing the original Raiju controller back in 2016, Razer is pushing its flagship PlayStation peripheral into ultra-limited territory. Today, November 3, 2026, the manufacturer officially unveiled the Razer Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, a collector-grade wireless controller officially licensed for the PlayStation 5 and engineered for PC. Capped at an initial production run of just 1,337 individually serialized units worldwide, a direct nod to classic gaming "leet" culture, this special edition replaces conventional plastic shells with an exposed metal architecture and tournament-focused internals.

A 260-Gram Magnesium Alloy Exoskeleton and Laser-Etched Glass Touchpad

The defining feature of the Signature Edition is its external structural build. Razer crafted the controller's exoskeleton from magnesium alloy, using an open-polygonal top and back plate layout with chamfered edges for a smooth transition in hand. Despite the shift to a rigid metal frame, the controller weighs just 260 grams, keeping fatigue low across multi-hour competitive grinds.

Because the polygonal cutouts leave the internal structural components visible from the outside, Razer applied a specialized internal nano-coating to shield the circuitry against dust and debris. At the center of the controller sits a semi-transparent tinted glass touchpad laser-etched with the Razer logo, offering a subtle glimpse of the geometric frame underneath. The handles are wrapped in matte black textured TPU grip formulated to resist skin oils and abrasion over time, addressing the exact kind of long-session durability we highlighted in our hardware ergonomics guide for marathon gaming sessions.

For the primary face inputs, the 8-way floating directional pad, Razer Mecha-Tactile action buttons, and secondary controls feature a stealthy matte black finish with tone-on-tone legends. Every cap is molded using a double-shot PBT process so the markings never wear off. Charlie Bolton, Global Head of Design at Razer, explained the philosophy behind the build: "With the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, we set out to illustrate what happens when Razer's engineering and design capabilities are pushed to their absolute limits. It draws on years of experience in high-performance controllers, delivering tournament-grade responsiveness in a design that feels like a statement piece in hand."

Contactless TMR Thumbsticks, Pro HyperTriggers, and 2,000 Hz PC Polling

Beneath its magnesium shell, the Signature Edition retains the full competitive spec sheet of the Raiju V3 Pro platform. It uses a symmetrical thumbstick layout equipped with contactless TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) sensors. By eliminating physical contact points, TMR modules prevent stick drift while delivering finer resolution and lower power draw than standard Hall Effect sticks.

Players also get six mappable multi-function buttons: four mouse-click back buttons positioned under the rear fingers, paired with two additional claw-grip bumpers along the top shoulder edge. On the rear triggers, Razer Pro HyperTriggers let users switch between full-range analog travel for racing titles and instantaneous, zero-deadzone mouse-click actuation for shooters.

Wireless connectivity is handled via the included Razer HyperSpeed Wireless (2.4 GHz) dongle across PlayStation 5 and PC. When paired on PC with Razer HyperPolling Wireless, the controller reaches up to a 2,000 Hz polling rate for sub-millisecond input registration. Button remapping, thumbstick sensitivity curves, trigger actuation points, and onboard profiles can all be customized through Razer Synapse on PC or the dedicated Razer mobile app.

Collector Package Contents, Pricing, and Regional Drop Date

Each of the 1,337 serialized units ships in a custom presentation box bundled with modular accessories:

  • A premium leatherette carrying case designed for both travel protection and shelf display.
  • Two alternative thumbstick caps: a short convex cap for rapid movement and a tall concave cap for fine aiming control.
  • Four swappable back button covers that sit completely flush with the shell when specific rear paddles are removed.
  • An anodized aluminium replacement tool machined specifically for swapping out the back buttons and covers.
  • A Razer HyperSpeed Wireless 2.4 GHz dongle and a braided USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable for wired play and fast charging.

The Razer Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition carries an official MSRP of $349.99 (£349.99 in the UK and €368.99 in Europe). Regionalized drops begin on November 10, 2026, exclusively through Razer.com and select RazerStores, arriving right as PS5 owners stock up on discounted titles during the PlayStation Store Black Friday 2026 sale. For players who want the exact same TMR sticks, six extra inputs, and HyperTriggers without paying the collector premium for the magnesium shell, the standard Razer Raiju V3 Pro remains available at major retailers.

My Take on the Spec Sheet

Machining a PlayStation 5 controller exoskeleton out of magnesium alloy while keeping total weight down to 260 grams is a serious mechanical achievement, especially when paired with 2,000 Hz contactless TMR sticks and double-shot PBT buttons that will not develop a greasy shine after a few months of tournament play. At $349.99 for 1,337 serialized units worldwide, this Signature Edition is unmistakably built for hardware collectors, whereas the standard Raiju V3 Pro remains the smarter value pick for purely competitive players. For full transparency, we have not yet had this Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition in our hands at the office: if Razer's team would like to send over a review sample so we can put the magnesium chassis and wireless latency through our full hardware protocol, our lab doors are wide open.
