Where Winds Meet Unveils Qingzhou on PS5 in a Breathtaking Wuxia Gameplay Trailer

PlayStation and Everstone Studio have dropped a stunning new gameplay showcase for Where Winds Meet. Premiering on the official PlayStation channel, the trailer introduces the imperial province of Qingzhou, one of the most vibrant cultural and commercial hubs of medieval China.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Ten Kingdoms period, the action-RPG published by NetEase Games aims to raise the bar for open-world martial arts on PS5 and PC. From soaring rooftop acrobatics to lightning-fast sword choreography, the title delivers an impressive display of wuxia storytelling.

The Imperial Province of Qingzhou Meets Classic Wuxia
Qingzhou is far more than an ornate backdrop. Crossed by busy merchant canals and towered over by multi-tiered pagodas, the bustling province is populated with merchants, wandering scholars, and townsfolk who react dynamically to your presence.
Movement leans heavily into traditional Qinggong martial arts. Players can glide across rooftops with a silk umbrella, sprint effortlessly over open water, or execute airborne dodges that defy gravity during high-stakes skirmishes.
While martial arts fans keep a close eye on the rollout of Phantom Blade Zero on PS5, Everstone Studio is setting a distinctly lighter, aerial pace, blending seamless vertical traversal directly into ground combat.

A Deep Martial Arsenal and High-Speed Duels
Combat flexibility takes center stage in this new footage. The arsenal includes dual swords, long-range dragon spears, razor-sharp steel folding fans, and mystical Tai-Chi arts designed to redirect enemy force back at attackers.
Each weapon class features unique parry windows and combos tailored to counter wandering rival swordsmen and legendary mythological beasts. Dynamic weather conditions and a real-time day and night cycle further reshape battlefields and ambush lines.
On PlayStation 5, the production leverages ultra-fast SSD streaming to eliminate transition screens, while DualSense haptics transmit the resonance and bite of clashing steel straight to your hands.
My opinion
Where Winds Meet continues to establish itself as one of the most ambitious Asian action-RPGs in development. The seamless transition between rooftop parkour and frame-perfect blade counters proves that modern wuxia has finally found the technological firepower it deserved.
