Physical media collectors and co-op horror fans on PlayStation have a new date to circle on their calendars. Welsh studio Wales Interactive and publisher Curveball Games have officially announced that their physics-driven co-operative survival horror game, Hazard Levels, will receive a physical retail edition on PlayStation 5 on February 26, 2027 across both ESRB and PEGI territories. This boxed release will follow the game's full 1.0 digital launch out of Early Access on November 12, 2026 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

A Complete PS5 Physical Edition Packing the Myths & Legends DLC

Rather than shipping a barebones disc months after the digital launch, Curveball Games and Wales Interactive are bundling extra value straight into the retail box. The PlayStation 5 physical edition will include the complete 1.0 base game alongside day-one access to the Hazard Levels: Myths & Legends DLC collection.

Inspired by British and classical folklore, the Myths & Legends content encompasses four thematic packs: Dragon, Unicorn, Minotaur, and Kelpie. As the title joins the 2027 video game release calendar, retail pre-orders are beginning to roll out across participating storefronts in North America and Europe.

Secret British Pubs, Unstable Rifts, and Experimental Perk Cocktails

For players who haven't stepped into its PC Early Access run yet, Hazard Levels builds its extraction horror loop around an unmistakably British premise. Your squad operates out of The Fox Hole Arms, a traditional pub that secretly conceals the underground research and development facility of a shadowy organization known only as The Family. Working for the pub's uncompromising Landlord, solo recruits or teams of up to four players are dispatched into procedurally generated interdimensional rifts to harvest rare, bizarre ingredients before last orders are called.

Equipped with a Rift Scanner and a Rift Stabilising Device to tear open portals, players rely heavily on the Gravity Gauntlet during each expedition. This physics-based tool lets you grab, stack, carry, and throw multiple objects at once, turning chaotic looting runs into frantic physics puzzles while lethal rift creatures stalk your team through shifting biomes.

Every strange ingredient you manage to extract fuels the secret brewery beneath the pub, where players mix experimental Perk Cocktails. Some brews grant powerful traversal or combat abilities for the next run, while others trigger unpredictable chaos across the squad. Featuring built-in proximity voice chat and seamless switching between first-person and third-person perspectives, the digital 1.0 version arrives first as part of the November 2026 release schedule on November 12.

My Perspective

I have a huge soft spot for co-op extraction horror games that balance genuine tension in the dark with hilarious proximity-chat chaos when everything inevitably goes wrong. Setting the hub inside a classic British pub where you literally brew dubious cocktails in the cellar between dimensional dives gives Hazard Levels so much charm. As someone who still loves lining up PlayStation 5 cases on a shelf, seeing Wales Interactive and Curveball Games commit to a physical edition that includes the Myths & Legends packs right out of the box makes February 2027 even more exciting for horror fans.
