ESL Pro League Season 24: Vitality Overcomes Aurora to Set Up Massive Grand Final Clash Against MOUZ
The semifinal stage of ESL Pro League Season 24 delivered top-tier Counter-Strike 2 drama. Following a high-stakes bracket run, Team Vitality locked in their ticket to the grand final after surviving a fierce challenge from Aurora in a thrilling 2-1 series.
Standing in their way for the championship trophy will be MOUZ, who took down powerhouse Team Spirit in an intense semifinal clash to set up a clash between Europe's elite rosters.
Aurora Strikes First, Vitality Responds with Vintage Composure
The opening semifinal began with an unexpected shock for the French favorites. Led by an electric Özgür "woxic" Eker on the AWP, Aurora dismantled Vitality's defensive holds across Anubis, capitalizing on aggressive mid-control to take the opening map.
Yet on the international tier-one stage, championship pedigree consistently finds an answer. Refusing to let the pressure mount, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire rallied his squad and recalibrated Vitality's utility setups.
Behind an untouchable performance from Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, Vitality quickly seized the momentum on Cache before closing out a dominant decider on Mirage. ZywOo's multi-frag impact and clutch conversions dismantled Aurora's defensive shell round after round.
MOUZ Topples Team Spirit, Aurora Sweeps for Third Place
On the opposite side of the playoff bracket, MOUZ showcased supreme tactical composure. Having already defeated Team Spirit during group play, Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek's roster proved lightning can strike twice by edging out the Russian powerhouse 2-1.
Despite flashes of brilliance from Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, Spirit struggled to break through MOUZ's crossfires, recalling the high-octane dynamics seen in the clash between Spirit and MOUZ earlier this season.
The heartbreak only deepened for Team Spirit in the third-place decider. Visibly drained, the Katowice champions were swept 2-0 by a relentless Aurora roster (13-9 on Mirage, 13-6 on Anubis), where Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın delivered a standout showing to secure bronze.
A Blockbuster Best-of-Five for the Season 24 Crown
The grand final showdown between Team Vitality and MOUZ sets up a gripping clash of styles. Vitality brings seasoned veteran leadership and the unmatched firepower of the world's best player, while MOUZ counters with relentless young mechanics and disciplined teamplay.
In an exhaustive best-of-five gauntlet where map pool depth will test every strategic contingency, economic discipline and clutch execution will decide the victor. Both teams enter the arena ready to carve their names onto the ESL Pro League Season 24 trophy.
