TCG Card Shop Simulator Halloween Update 1.03 Adds 6 New Ghost Cards, Ascension Card Boxes, and $5,000 Omega Bulk Boxes

Spooky season has officially arrived on virtual store shelves. On October 28, 2026, solo developer OPNeon Games rolled out the Ghostly Halloween Update 1.03 for TCG Card Shop Simulator. Following heavy community feedback since the arrival of the Ascension expansion, this patch pairs new ultra-rare chase cards and seasonal store decorations with a complete overhaul of the workbench bulk-box economy and key rendering optimizations.

Six New Neon Ghost Cards and Ascension Card Boxes Arrive

For pack-ripping completionists, the headline addition is a set of six brand-new Ghost rare cards, expanding the total pool to 24 rare Ghost cards to hunt down across booster packs. Sporting striking neon-line artwork against dark and light backgrounds in both standard and holographic foil variants, the new Ghost lineup spotlights six fan-favorite Tetramon creatures: Voltrex, Flambrolly, Talonryu, Terradrakon, Poseidrake, and Toximuck.

On the retail management side, shopkeepers can now order and stock dedicated Ascension Card Boxes on their shelves. To help stores dress up for Halloween night, the update also introduces a purple Playmat (Halloween) product alongside a new Halloween poster decoration featuring custom artwork by Bad Moon Art Studio.

Bulk Box Overhaul and the New $5,000 Omega Grade Tier

Ever since TCG Card Shop Simulator's 1.0 launch across PC, PS5, Switch, and Switch 2, bundling excess duplicate cards from the Ascension set at the workbench had been a persistent pain point. Update 1.03 restructures the entire bulk system to future-proof shop inventory:

  • Consolidated Generic Bulk Boxes: Workbench bulk boxes are now unified into generic versions designed to support all current and future card expansions seamlessly. Existing Tetramon and Destiny bulk boxes remain intact in current save files, but they have been removed from the pricing app and can no longer be crafted.
  • New OG Bulk Box (Omega Grade): A high-tier bulk box option with a base value of $4,000 is now automatically crafted whenever the combined value of bundled bulk cards exceeds $5,000.
  • $100 Workbench Slider Cap: The workbench price slider limit has been raised all the way to $100 per card, making it significantly faster to clear out mid-tier duplicates into high-value Omega bundles.

GPU Usage Fixes and Classic Lighting Restoration

Under the hood, the default branch now runs on the game's updated rendering pipeline with a dedicated fix for excessive GPU usage and general frame rate optimizations. OPNeon Games also recalibrated in-game materials and store lighting to match the beloved classic look from earlier builds as closely as possible.

Rounding out the patch notes are three targeted bug fixes: resolving an issue where players occasionally got stuck and could not play cards during a live TCG table match, fixing quality settings that failed to apply properly, and eliminating shadow flickering across the shop floor.

My Take

Update 1.03 proves just how closely OPNeon Games listens to day-to-day player feedback. While ripping hundreds of packs to chase the neon-outlined Toximuck and Terradrakon Ghost cards is an easy hook for Halloween week, the workbench overhaul is the real game-changer for late-game shops. Raising the card value slider cap to $100 and introducing the $5,000 Omega Grade Bulk Box turns duplicate clutter into a massive profit stream, all while the new rendering fix stops our GPUs from running hot during marathon store shifts.
