Digimon Alysion pre-registration iOS Android Bandai card game

Following its closed beta test last August, the official mobile adaptation of the Digimon Card Game is officially gearing up for launch. Bandai Namco and Bandai have opened pre-registration for Digimon Alysion on both the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android) across 49 countries and regions, kicking off a global milestone campaign packed with booster tickets and iconic cards for day-one Tamers.

Four Pre-Registration Milestones Featuring 10 BD-01 Packs and WarGreymon

To celebrate the store listings going live ahead of the game's planned 2026 launch window, Bandai has rolled out a community pre-registration campaign. Depending on the total number of players who sign up before launch, everyone will receive up to four tiers of free bonuses delivered straight to their in-game mail at release:

  • 50,000 Players: Pack Ticket [BD-01] ×10 (ten pulls from the debut New Evolution card pack).
  • 100,000 Players: BD1-02 Gemmon, a brand-new partner Digimon card exclusive to the app.
  • 150,000 Players: BT1-044 MetalGarurumon.
  • 200,000 Players: BT1-025 WarGreymon.

Players can register right now by tapping "Get" on the App Store or "Pre-register" on Google Play. While mobile Tamers prepare their decks for the digital arena, longtime fans of the franchise have also been busy celebrating classic monster-raising on PC through the Digimon World Forge fan remake in Godot featuring 260 Digimon.

Automated Memory Gauge and Digital-Exclusive Cards

Rather than watering down the tabletop ruleset, Digimon Alysion brings the complete Digimon Card Game experience to mobile with ranked matches and competitive online tournaments. Two players go head-to-head by hatching Digi-Egg cards in the breeding area, stacking cards to Digivolve and trigger inherited effects, and breaking through the opponent's 5 Security cards before landing a direct finishing blow.

At the center of every match is the signature tug-of-war Memory Gauge: paying the Play Cost or Digivolve Cost of a card pushes the memory counter toward the opponent's side, and as soon as the counter hits 1 or more on their side, your turn ends. The digital client automatically tracks memory costs and resolves card effects from Digimon, Tamer, and Option cards, while introducing app-original cards starting with the [BD-01] New Evolution expansion.

A Fully Voiced Story Mode Inside the Digimon Liberator Metaverse

Beyond competitive PvP, the game takes place in the same world as the Digimon Liberator webcomic and light novel. Matches unfold inside the Lacuna metaverse, accessed via a near-future full-dive VR visor called T.A.L.E. and a deck-case device known as a D-Storage. Expanding major anime properties across multiple platforms remains a core pillar for the publisher, much like when Bandai Namco detailed the platform specs for its upcoming anime adaptations.

The dedicated Story Mode guides newcomers through the mechanics alongside a fully voiced original cast:

  • Kanata Hondo (voiced by Shu Uchida): an upbeat, energetic casual gamer who plays every genre imaginable but is stepping into card games for the very first time.
  • Futre (voiced by Hikari Kubota): Kanata's closest online friend who invites her into Digimon Liberator while hiding a secret tied to Gemmon, a snow-white Digimon with a glowing gem on its forehead.
  • Valner Dragnogh (voiced by Fairouz Ai) and Renamon (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro): the guild master of [Di:WO], a faction advocating for Digimon freedom that wants former member Futre back in its ranks.
  • Aliol (voiced by Ayumu Murase): the virtual guide overseeing players inside Digimon Liberator.

At launch, the app will support English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean for both system menus and card text, along with Traditional Chinese for the interface. While some regional App Store pages display a placeholder release date of December 23, 2026, Bandai has noted that store placeholders do not reflect the final launch day.

My Perspective

Having the Digimon Card Game finally land in a full-featured digital client is huge news for TCG fans. Anyone who has played the physical game knows that its shared Memory Gauge is one of the smartest resource systems on the market: you never have to sit through twenty-minute solitaire combos because overspending memory immediately hands a massive turn to your opponent. Automating all the stacked inherited effects while adding a fully voiced Story Mode starring Fairouz Ai and Miyuki Sawashiro removes the biggest barrier to entry, giving Digimon a real shot at carving out its own space on mobile alongside Pokemon TCG Pocket and Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.
