Round 4 of the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 Swiss stage delivered high drama on Tuesday, October 27, inside the PGL Studios in Romania. With $1,250,000 on the line and the playoff bracket taking shape, MOUZ and Aurora Gaming punched their tickets to the quarterfinals (3-1), while FURIA, Nemiga Gaming, and The MongolZ swept their 1-2 elimination bouts to stay alive.

A 1.93 Rating on Mirage and 66 Kills: donk's Solo Masterclass Cannot Save Team Spirit Against MOUZ

The marquee 2-1 clash between MOUZ and Team Spirit turned into an instant classic on Counter-Strike 2. Despite getting dismantled on their own map pick of Nuke (2-13), MOUZ regrouped to take Spirit's pick of Dust2 (13-8) before surviving a nerve-shredding Mirage decider in overtime (16-14).

On the losing side, Russian prodigy Danil "donk" Kryshkovets put up one of the most absurd individual carry efforts of the season. Across the three maps, the 19-year-old rifler recorded 66 kills to 47 deaths, 110.4 average damage per round (ADR), and a series-high 1.61 rating. On the Mirage decider alone, where Spirit let a 12-10 lead slip away in regulation, donk posted a staggering 35-20 K-D, 123.6 ADR, 12 multi-kill rounds, and a 1.93 rating.

Even with solid support from Myroslav "zont1x" Plakhotia (1.13 rating) alongside sh1ro, magixx, and tN1R, Spirit could not contain MOUZ's balanced firepower in crunch time. Led by Dorian "xertioN" Berman (46-50 K-D, 1.19 rating), Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás, Lotan "Spinx" Giladi, PR (1.09), and xelex, MOUZ advances to the playoffs at 3-1 while sending Team Spirit into Wednesday's do-or-die 2-2 pool.

Jimpphat Powers Aurora Past Team Liquid Ahead of the Vitality vs. NAVI Blockbuster

In the afternoon's other 2-1 qualification series, Aurora Gaming edged out Team Liquid (2-1) after three tightly contested maps. Aurora opened the series with a 13-11 win on Anubis, watched Liquid storm back from a 4-10 deficit to take Inferno (13-11), and finally closed the door on the Cache decider (13-10).

Finnish anchor Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo led the server with a 52-39 K-D and a 1.28 rating, converting crucial 1v2 clutches and multi-kills down the stretch on Cache alongside Özgür "woxic" Eker (54-45, 1.00), Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın (46-45, 1.00), captain Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski, and İsmailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş. Despite strong showings from Keith "NAF" Markovic (47-43, 1.17) and Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa (52-48, 1.09), Liquid drops into the 2-2 decider bracket.

With those victories, MOUZ and Aurora join BetBoom Team and FUT Esports in the quarterfinals after both squads went 3-0 on Monday, highlighted by Álvaro "SunPayus" García's standout debut with FUT Esports. The final 3-1 berth is decided in Tuesday evening's clash between Team Vitality and Natus Vincere, featuring a marquee storyline as Justinas "jL" Lekavičius faces his former organization while standing in for Dan "apEX" Madesclaire (on paternity leave) during this high-stakes PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 campaign.

FURIA, Nemiga, and The MongolZ Cruise Through the 1-2 Elimination Pool

Down in the 1-2 elimination bracket, none of the three survival series required a third map, as all three favorites delivered clinical 2-0 sweeps.

Just 24 hours after shocking the Counter-Strike world by eliminating G2 Esports at 0-3 (alongside fellow 0-3 exit 9z Team), Brazilian squad DENDELE hit a brick wall against Nemiga Gaming. Dominance on Nuke (13-3) and Ancient (13-6) saw Nemiga in-game leader robo (35-24 K-D, 95.7 ADR, 1.57 rating) and Aleksandr "KaiR0N-" Anashkin (32-18 K-D, 98.7 ADR, 1.38 rating), backed by syph0 (1.35) and Xant3r (1.35), dismantle rdnzao and company (0.81 team rating).

FURIA was even more ruthless against TYLOO, cruising past the Chinese roster on Inferno (13-5) and Mirage (13-2) with a dominant 1.52 team rating. Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis (26-17, 1.57), Yuri "yuurih" Santos (26-12, 1.56), Danil "molodoy" Golubenko (27-11, 1.54), Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo (28-14, 1.48), and Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato (23-10, 1.43) overwhelmed a TYLOO lineup forced to field coach zhokiNg as a stand-in (5-28, 0.36). Earlier, The MongolZ ended Legacy's tournament run with twin 13-8 victories on Mirage and Inferno behind explosive numbers from captain Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren (36-22, 1.59 rating) and Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold (32-27, 1.55).

My Take

Dropping 35 kills, 123.6 ADR, and a 1.93 rating on a LAN decider map only to walk off stage with a 14-16 overtime loss sums up Team Spirit's biggest flaw right now. When donk has to pull off superhuman multi-kills on every single rifle round just to keep his team afloat, the system eventually cracks against a disciplined, well-drilled unit like MOUZ. As for DENDELE, sending G2 packing yesterday will go down as one of the wildest upsets of the season, but scraping together just nine rounds across two maps against Nemiga today is a brutal reality check. Catching a struggling giant off guard is one thing; surviving a Swiss format when opponents actually prep for your tendencies is another. With Team Spirit, Team Liquid, FURIA, The MongolZ, Nemiga, and the loser of Vitality vs. NAVI all crammed into Wednesday's 2-2 bracket, Round 5 is going to be a bloodbath.
