Grabbing the Spike From Range and Levitating Enemies: Riot Games Reveals Valorant Telekinetic Duelist Hush

Ahead of the VALORANT Champions 2026 Grand Final between LOUD and Team Vitality, Riot Games officially pulled back the curtain on the thirty-first member of the VALORANT Protocol: Hush. Originating from Guangdong, China, the new recruit joins the roster as an aggressive Duelist built around telekinesis and gravity manipulation. Set to launch globally on live servers on October 27, 2026, she brings crosshair-guided projectiles and long-range item retrieval that could reshape how teams execute site entries and post-plant recoveries.
A Ninth Duelist From Guangdong Unveiled on the Champions Shanghai Stage
After weeks of high-stakes playoff matches highlighted by Team Vitality's run at VALORANT Champions Shanghai, Riot Games treated the home crowd to a reveal deeply rooted in Chinese representation. Hush becomes the third Chinese agent in the tactical shooter's lineup, following the Sentinel Sage from Xi'an and fellow Duelist Iso from Chongqing. She also enters the fray as the ninth Duelist overall, joining mainstays like Jett, Raze, and Reyna.
Introduced in the official "RISE AND FALL" agent trailer, Hush blends modern tactical streetwear with traditional Chinese design motifs. Sporting pale lilac hair with straight-cut bangs and glowing magenta eyes, she wears a dark cropped jacket fastened with an ornate brooch and crisp white tactical gloves. A swirling pink psychic aura and floating geometric dice etched with luminous glyphs surround her in combat, telegraphing her gravity-bending powers.
Hush's Full Ability Kit: Telekinesis, Crosshair Steering, and Anti-Gravity
Unlike pure movement Duelists who rely strictly on raw speed, Hush thrives on spatial disruption and mid-air projectile control. Three of her active abilities can be steered mid-flight using her crosshair, rewarding mechanically sharp players who can curve utility around tight corners.
- Passive (Telekinesis): As long as she maintains line of sight, Hush can interact with map switches (such as mechanical doors), pick up dropped weapons, and retrieve the Spike from a significantly extended distance compared to standard agents.
- Signature Ability E (Displacement): Hush throws or preps a telekinetic charge that can be reactivated to steer toward her crosshair. It detonates on impact or after a short delay, pulling all nearby players toward its center. Any opponent pulled into a wall, obstacle, or another player is concussed. As a Duelist signature ability, it recharges after earning two kills.
- Ability Q (Flashbulb): A controllable flash grenade that follows the same prep-and-redirect mechanic. Players can guide it toward their crosshair before it bursts on a surface or after a brief timer to blind defenders holding deep angles.
- Ability C (Flow): Her primary mobility tool. Hush places a telekinetic anchor and rapidly propels herself toward it after a short wind-up. Casting Flow while airborne causes her to briefly levitate in place before dashing toward the anchor point.
- Ultimate Ability X (Suspension): Hush immediately readies and fires a gravity-warping projectile forward, steering its path with her crosshair. Reactivating the ability or firing again detonates the blast, creating an anti-gravity zone that levitates every player caught inside.
Because steering Displacement, Flashbulb, and Suspension mid-flight requires smooth cursor tracking right before snapping back to head level, combining precise aim control with configuring Rapid Trigger for counter-strafing will give entry fraggers a noticeable mechanical edge when unlocking her in the new Act.

My Take: A Duelist That Rewrites Spike Retrieval and Crosshair Placement
In my view, the most meta-defining piece of Hush's kit isn't even her anti-gravity ultimate: it is the synergy between her Telekinesis passive and her Displacement signature ability. Until now, dropping the Spike in an open lane watched by an enemy Operator meant burning valuable smokes, a Sage wall, or Gekko's Wingman just to recover it. Being able to snatch the Spike or a dropped Vandal from a safe distance with simple line of sight gives an entry Duelist unprecedented utility in mid-round recoveries and eco rounds.
At the same time, Displacement punishes static defenders who rely on tight off-angles. Yanking an opponent out of cover and concussing them against adjacent geometry forces defenders to constantly respect walls and collision zones. When Hush hits the live servers on October 27, 2026, she won't just be dashing onto sites: she will be physically dragging defenders out of position before taking the duel.
