Marvel Cosmic Invasion: Doctor Doom and Invisible Woman Unleash Tag-Team Combos in New Gameplay Showcase

Following the initial reveal of The Siege of Castle Doom expansion during New York Comic Con, publisher Dotemu and Montreal-based developer Tribute Games have released a dedicated gameplay clip focusing on the combat mechanics of Victor von Doom and Susan Storm. The new footage offers a raw look at how both fighters handle the relentless swarms of the Annihilation Wave.
Light-Bending Force Fields Meet Latverian Sorcery in Cosmic Swap Action
The new gameplay sequence highlights how both characters synergize within the game's signature Cosmic Swap tag-team system, which lets players switch between two heroes mid-combo. Stepping in as the Fantastic Four's powerhouse, the Invisible Woman relies on cosmic ray-infused light manipulation and crowd control. Beyond trapping enemies inside kinetic force spheres, Susan Storm can unleash wide-angle prismatic beams that sweep across the screen to clear out airborne threats in the Negative Zone.
Doctor Doom brings a heavier, more oppressive offensive toolkit to the brawler. Combining his custom high-tech Latverian armor with dark occult mastery, Doom calls down pillars of green arcane lightning and fires concentrated energy blasts across the stage. His high-impact strikes easily shatter enemy defenses on the ground, setting up seamless tag-ins for his partner to extend aerial juggles.

17 Playable Fighters and Over 1.5 Million Players Worldwide
This second paid expansion arrives as Dotemu and Tribute Games celebrate surpassing 1.5 million players worldwide on their retro arcade beat 'em up. Adding Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom expands the playable roster to 17 characters, blending classic 1990s pixel-art animation with modern cooperative tag mechanics across iconic locations from New York's streets to the depths of the cosmos.
Alongside the two playable combatants, The Siege of Castle Doom introduces a brand-new game mode set inside Victor von Doom's stronghold at Castle Doomstadt, where players push back Annihilus alongside threats like Thanos, M.O.D.O.K., and Taskmaster. The DLC launches on November 10, 2026, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
