Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea Unveils Its DLC Roadmap With 9 Content Packs, New Marriage Candidates, and Lupo Mount Through 2027

Just two weeks after launching Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea on October 15 across Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, publisher Natsume and developer IMAGICA GEEQ have laid out their long-term post-launch plans. The company officially unveiled a roadmap spanning nine downloadable content (DLC) packs running through 2027, kicking off today with the release of the game's first paid story expansion alongside its Season Pass.
Merus's Dilemma Launches Today Alongside the $24.99 Season Pass
Players already working to clear the mysterious mist creeping out of the Forest of Echoes can jump into the first add-on, Merus's Dilemma, starting today, October 29. Priced at $6.99 (£5.79 / €7.19) as a standalone purchase or included within the $24.99 Season Pass (also available via the bundled Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea Pack), the expansion takes farmers back to a newly revived Maplehill Town.
In this opening DLC chapter, the eccentric, star-sunglass-wearing guardian spirit Merus accidentally triggers electrical shorts across town with his blinding brilliance. Helping the townsfolk stabilize Maplehill's power grid rewards players with a Harvest Goddess Tools upgrade, four new refrigerator designs for their farmhouse, six fresh cooking recipes, and new tomato and cheese varieties alongside extra resident requests.

New Marriage Candidates, Treasure Island, and Lupo Mount: All 9 Planned Packs
While cozy life-sim fans have plenty on their radar this fall, from the newly independent cozy MMO Spirit Crossing launching November 16 on Switch 2 and PC to vampire farming hit Moonlight Peaks heading to PS5 on November 17, Natsume is positioning Echoes of Teradea for a multi-season run. In December 2026, two separate story expansions will expand the base game's roster of ten romanceable characters by introducing a new bachelor (Zog, Gorgan's younger brother in Quarrytop Mine) and a new bachelorette (Emmy, an aspiring actress shipwrecked on the new Treasure Island map).
Following two specialty livestock and retro outfit packs in January 2027 (note that the pink Mooberry Cow Pack remains a free early-purchase bonus through November 11, 2026 before becoming a standalone January release), March 2027 will bring Lupo Wants to Explore, letting players ride Lupo as a mount to track down legendary animals across Teradea. Three additional packs will round out the nine-DLC lineup later in 2027.

My Take
I genuinely enjoy the open-world exploration loop that Natsume has been refining since The Winds of Anthos, and having a native Nintendo Switch 2 Edition keeps Teradea's sprawling valleys running much smoother than past entries. Still, announcing a nine-pack DLC roadmap barely two weeks after launching a $49.99 base game feels a bit aggressive. Locking the Harvest Goddess Tools upgrade behind a Day-15 paid expansion, or a $24.99 Season Pass that costs half the price of the game itself, blurs the line between meaningful post-launch support and slicing off quality-of-life progression to sell back to players.
That said, December's twin expansions adding Zog's high-difficulty Quarrytop Mine floors and Emmy's Treasure Island excursion, along with riding Lupo to hunt legendary animals in March, offer the exact kind of late-game hooks that give you an excuse to revisit a 50-hour farm save. If you are already hooked on restoring Bloomfield Village and the surrounding towns, grabbing the Season Pass is clearly the only sensible way to avoid getting nickel-and-dimed across nine separate packs through 2027.
