A Mischievous Black Cat and Indoor Rollercoasters: Two Point Museum Launches Feline Crossover and Rides & Relics DLC

Curators and museum directors in Two Point Museum now have plenty of chaotic reasons to reorganize their galleries. Publisher SEGA and developer Two Point Studios have rolled out a major double-header of content across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The rollout pairs an unexpected free collaboration update featuring Double Dagger Studio's beloved feline from Double Dagger's mischievous feline adventurer with the simultaneous commercial launch of the game's first major paid expansion, Rides & Relics.
When an Arcade Coffee Spill Opens the Digiverse
The premise behind the free collaboration taps right into Two Point Studios' trademark slapstick lore. A cup of coffee spilled onto an old arcade cabinet causes a spacetime distortion, tearing open dimensional portals known as The Digiverse. Through this anomaly, the curious black cat from Double Dagger's mischievous feline adventurer sneaks directly into your museum halls to cause adorable mischief.
Players can send their museum experts into the big city on expeditions, guided by Crow across three urban Points of Interest. Progression revolves around gathering Shinies, gleaming trinkets tucked under traffic cones, inside bushes, or resting on high building ledges. Gathering these collectibles unlocks three fresh museum exhibits: a terrarium housing the Hatted Chameleon, a serene Duck Pond Diorama, and a detailed Little City Diorama starring the black cat itself.
The update also delivers practical workshop perks. Collected Shinies can be invested to neutralize dust, the persistent scourge of historical exhibits, while boosting exhibit value and visitor knowledge. Players can also assemble a brand-new Ledge Leaper interactive installation, letting visitors attempt daring feline leaps right in the middle of ancient relic displays.
Rides & Relics Turns Classical History into a Theme Park
Alongside the free feline crossover, Two Point Studios has launched the paid Rides & Relics expansion. This DLC blends classical curation with full-fledged theme park mechanics, enabling curators to build elaborate, customizable rollercoasters directly inside and around their museum wings.

Coaster design offers deep customization across five distinct visual themes, giving players precise control over track tilt, camber, height, lift chains, and booster pads. Guests who prefer a gentler pace can ride the Monobeast Monorail, while adrenaline junkies can experience high-speed steel loops that sweep past priceless fossil displays. The package includes a five-star story campaign set in Riquetti Gardens, expeditions into the abandoned Gearbox Fairgrounds, and more than 15 vintage fairground exhibits.
Running high-speed rides inside an educational institution introduces unique management challenges, such as handling guest crowd dynamics, tuning ticket desks, and maintaining ride safety. A new staff class, the Funfair Experts, handles track maintenance, candy floss preparation, and mascot performances across ten newly discoverable mascots. For simulation enthusiasts who enjoy intricate layout mechanics and guest flow logistics, this detailed park-building depth echoes what Frontier Developments is pushing with Planet Zoo 2.
My opinion
Two Point Studios strikes the perfect balance between charm and mechanical depth. Offering the the mischievous black cat crossover completely free of charge brings immediate delight to existing players, while the Rides & Relics expansion answers a long-running fantasy for tycoon fans. Weaving high-speed corkscrews between fragile Egyptian sarcophagi and dinosaur skeletons provides the chaotic, high-stakes management gameplay that defines the Two Point universe at its very best.
