Laios and Marcille Join Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen: How to Claim the Delicious in Dungeon Outfits Permanently

Laios and Marcille in Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Delicious in Dungeon crossover

Hunting chimeras on an empty stomach has never ended well across the lands of Vermund and Battahl. Less than a month after the launch of Update 4.0 and the Dark Arisen expansion, Capcom has rolled out a surprise official collaboration between Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and the hit manga and anime series Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi). Starting Wednesday, November 4, 2026, players can recruit Ryoko Kui's heroes into their party and permanently unlock their signature outfits simply by loading a save file, alongside a comprehensive official title update.

How to Permanently Keep the Laios and Marcille Outfits and Recruit Their Official Pawns

Unlike seasonal events that lock cosmetics behind tedious grind or paid microtransactions, Capcom opted for an immediate, 100% free distribution across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. To claim the full armor sets and adventuring backpacks of Laios Touden and elven mage Marcille Donato, simply launch Dragon's Dogma 2 (or Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen) and load your saved game before Thursday, January 28, 2027.

As soon as your save finishes loading, an in-game prompt confirms that both the Laios Outfit Set and Marcille Outfit Set have been deposited directly into your inn storage chest. Both sets can be freely equipped by either your Arisen or your Pawns. Best of all, once claimed into your storage during the event window, both outfits remain yours permanently even after the collaboration ends in late January.

Alongside the permanent cosmetic rewards, you can also bring both protagonists directly onto the battlefield. By inspecting Riftstones in major towns and outposts, two official Pawns modeled after Laios and Marcille can be recruited into your squad until January 28, 2027. Dwarf chef Senshi, locksmith Chilchuck, and Izutsumi are not included in this crossover.

A One-Week Delay on Nintendo Switch 2

While players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) can suit up today, Nintendo Switch 2 owners will have to wait one extra week. Just like the recent staggered rollout of Hotfix 4.1 on Nintendo Switch 2, this update follows a separate certification schedule on Nintendo's hybrid console, launching on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 (November 12 in Japan) and running until the same January 28, 2027 cutoff.

Full November 4, 2026 Patch Notes: All 17 Bug Fixes Deployed by Capcom

Beyond the Delicious in Dungeon crossover ahead of the anime's second season in 2027, the November 4 patch delivers 17 official bug fixes resolving quest progression blockers, Pawn AI mishaps, and inventory issues across all platforms:

1. Quest Progression Fixes (Sphinx, Seeking the Sage & Beyond Ruin-Night)

  • A Game of Wits (Sphinx Riddle): Fixed an issue where Pawns placed on the Sphinx's pedestal could unexpectedly walk back toward the shrine entrance.
  • Seeking the Sage (Riddle of the Body): Fixed a major progression blocker where the shape of a mountainside cliff failed to change, leaving the intended path inaccessible.
  • Beyond Ruin-Night: Fixed a critical progression blocker where certain enemies could not be killed, previously preventing players from completing the quest.

2. Pawn Movement, AI Behavior & NPC Fixes

  • No More Cliff-Jumping Pawns: Fixed a notorious bug where calling a Pawn from the opposite side of a cliff caused them to needlessly leap off the edge.
  • Thief Pawns: Fixed an issue where Thief Pawns continued to spam Ensnare on the corpses of large enemies after they were already defeated.
  • Pawn Dialogue: Fixed an issue where Pawns occasionally failed to deliver certain voice lines.
  • Jiera Survival: Fixed an issue where the NPC Jiera could unexpectedly die under specific conditions.

3. Warfarer Vocation & Enemy Combat Fixes

  • Unmaking Arrow T-Pose & Freeze: Fixed a critical bug where equipping an Unmaking Arrow in a specific sequence caused the Arisen to enter a T-pose and froze the game.
  • Rancor's Vortex: Fixed an issue where certain enemies inside a Rancor's Vortex could not be defeated, preventing the Vortex from being dispelled.
  • Evil Eye Barrier: Fixed an issue where the barrier visual effect remained active after defeating an Evil Eye with an Unmaking Arrow.

4. Dungeons, Environment, Ladders & The Brine

  • Precipitous Catacombs & Mired Conduit Doors: Fixed an issue where saving near the entrance immediately after entering either dungeon and then reloading that save caused the entrance door to lock shut behind the player.
  • Beorcan Stronghold: Fixed an issue where certain ladders inside the stronghold could not be climbed.
  • Ice Pillars: Fixed an issue where ice pillars failed to break and dealt continuous damage when touched.
  • Brine Behavior: Fixed an inconsistency in certain bodies of water where the Arisen was swallowed by the Brine while Pawns and enemies standing in the same water remained unaffected.

5. Inventory, Appraisal Screen, Armor Display & Audio

  • Dismissed Pawn Equipment: Fixed an issue where weapons and armor gifted to a Pawn upon dismissing them were not removed from the player's inventory.
  • Offering Flames: Fixed an issue where Offering Flames could not be obtained when using multiple save data slots.
  • Appraisal Results Screen: Fixed an issue where the "Put previously worn equipment in storage?" prompt appeared in inappropriate situations, and fixed a Warfarer bug where the Change Equipment option failed to appear on the appraisal screen when one or fewer weapons were equipped.
  • Armor, Hairstyles & Facial Animation: Fixed visual glitches when equipping certain armor pieces with the Beastren Mask, fixed hairstyles disappearing under specific headgear, and fixed the character's mouth not moving while wearing the Leather Throat Guard.
  • Background Music: Fixed an issue where background music failed to play under certain conditions.

My Take

It is hard to imagine a more natural crossover than Dragon's Dogma 2 and Delicious in Dungeon. From day one, Hideaki Itsuno's action-RPG has shared the exact same DNA as Ryoko Kui's manga: that bruised, grounded dungeon-crawling spirit where you count your healing herbs, stumble through damp caverns against harpies and chimeras, and sear a slab of aged beast-steak over a campfire. Seeing Laios and Marcille step out of the Riftstones feels right at home, and Capcom deserves credit for handing out their outfits permanently just for loading a save file, with zero microtransactions attached. My only real regret? Leaving Senshi and his legendary adamantine wok out of the crossover when Dragon's Dogma 2's campsite cooking animations were practically made for him.
