When Is Escape from Tarkov Back Online Today? Patch 1.2.0.0 Breakdown and Server Times

Norvinsk has gone dark this Tuesday morning. Battlestate Games pulled the plug on Escape from Tarkov servers across all regions to deploy major update 1.2.0.0, temporarily shutting down both PvP and PvE raids.
When Are Escape from Tarkov Servers Coming Back Online?
Maintenance officially kicked off at 8:00 AM BST (3:00 AM EDT / 9:00 AM CEST). The development team scheduled the downtime to last between 5 and 7 hours as they upgrade backend database clusters and matchmaking services.
If the deployment proceeds without technical hiccups, servers are expected to come back online between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM BST (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM EDT / 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM CEST).
Longtime Tarkov operators know the drill by heart. Battlestate Games has already noted that maintenance extensions remain possible if final load testing hits unexpected bottlenecks.
Massive PvE Overhaul and Smarter PMC Bots
The headline feature of patch 1.2.0.0 centers on a sweeping overhaul for PvE mode, which has become a staple for thousands of players seeking an intense tactical experience without queue latency.
Artificial intelligence for PMC bots has received a ground-up rewrite to strip away repetitive patterns and artificial aimbot behaviors.
Bots now navigate maps with tactical pathfinding, search high-value loot crates, hold strategic sightlines, and lay down coordinated suppressing fire.
Their gear generation tables have also been recalibrated to match authentic player loadouts, purging erratic inventory setups and questionable weapon attachments.
PvE Prestige Ranks and EXFIL Brothers Mentorship
For dedicated PvE mercenaries who hit the level cap and feared stagnation without seasonal wipes, the update introduces a long-awaited Prestige mechanic.
Capped players can now voluntarily reset their account level to climb through prestigious tiers, earning distinct cosmetic gear, custom armbands, and exclusive bragging rights.
Following the momentum of the recent TerraGroup events in Escape from Tarkov, Battlestate Games is also rolling out the EXFIL Brothers initiative.
This mentorship feature links inexperienced recruits with seasoned veterans, granting bonus raid experience to newcomers while rewarding mentors with exclusive supplies for guiding their partners to safety.
Launcher downloads will unlock once server infrastructure validations wrap up. Keep an eye on Battlestate Games server status channels, strap on your headset, and prepare for your first drop into patch 1.2.0.0.
